SYNOPSIS The Morning After Love is a cinepoetry project by writer, poet, and artist-curator Candice Nembhard. The short examines a relationship between two, black, queer femmes and whether or not there is true love after lust.

all fruits ripe is an independent series for queer filmmakers of colour. We specialise in screenings and gatherings celebrating queer cinema.  

We strive to champion directors, screenwriters, actors and producers that have been historically marginalised within film and moving image practice. We work with artists to develop stories, network horizontally and push for equitable, communal, civic space.

Our mission is to bring about radical approaches to creative acts of care in cinema, film, and moving image practice.

We commit to this through enagagement with diverse practitioners, challening narratives, and international audiences.

︎SUBMIT YOUR FILM

If you’re a queer filmmaker of colour and would like to screen your short film on afr, then fill out the following submission form.

All films are screened on site for two weeks.
︎REQUIREMENTS

All submissions must

  • be the sole copyright of the person / production company submitting 
  • be < 60 minutes run time
  • have a credited director, writer, producer or lead actor who identidies as as queer (LGBTQIA+) and from a Global Majority background
